Most homeowners ask the same five things. Here they are, plainly.
What's the catch with $0 upfront?
There isn't one — but here's how it works:
A financing partner owns the panels and the federal tax credit. In exchange, you get cheaper electricity than the utility. You don't claim the tax credit, but you also don't pay $25k+ upfront. The third party takes the tax benefits and the long-term revenue, while you save money on your utility bills.
If you'd rather own the system and claim the credit, ask us about cash or loan options.

What happens if I sell my home?
TPO leases can either be transferred to the new homeowner (subject to credit approval), or you can buy out the lease at the time of sale (most common). Note that buyouts are only available after 5 years, so if you are moving in the next 1–2, cash or loan is likely the better choice for you.
Is the rate really locked for 25 years?
Yes. The contracted rate has a small annual escalator that we can set (0 – 2.9%) that's still well below historical utility rate inflation (3–6%). So your savings grow over time — they don't shrink.
Who fixes the panels if something breaks?
We do. Equipment, labor, monitoring, and a production guarantee are all included for the full 25-year term. If the system produces less than promised, the financing partner credits you the difference.
How is this different from buying the panels?
Buying = higher long-term savings, but $20k–$30k upfront. TPO = lower lifetime savings + no tax credit, but $0 upfront and immediate savings. It also means you're free to invest your cash and keep earning elsewhere, all while producing clean energy on your home.
