A Virginia company, from day one
Matt started Virtue Solar in Madison, Virginia in 2015 with a Subaru Outback and a borrowed trailer. Over the years, Virtue has grown into one of the top solar companies in Virginia — but our approach hasn't changed. We handle every step of the process, from sales to design to installation.
We're headquartered in Charlottesville and generally handle installations within about 1.5 hours with our own crew. For projects farther out, we work with trusted local partners while managing all design, permitting, and quality assurance ourselves.
We know the permitting offices, the utility representatives, and the net metering rules across Virginia. When you work with us, you're working with a team that's been doing this in your area for years — not a national company subcontracting to whoever's available.
